About the Role

The BBS (Broadband Solutions) department designs and develops customized Internet box and Wi-Fi repeater solutions for telecom operators on an international scale. Our teams rely on the most advanced technologies on the market, such as Wi-Fi 7, XGS-PON, prpl, and artificial intelligence, to offer innovative and high-value-added products.

Join us as a Software Project Manager to strengthen our team responsible for projects in North America. You will take charge of managing software projects related to the development of residential gateways (Internet boxes) running on embedded Linux, integrating middlewares such as openWRT and prpl. You will play a key role in coordinating all stakeholders and ensuring the success of projects, from design to delivery.

As a Software Project Manager, you will act as a true interface and coordinator between technical teams, clients, and partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Product Management & Client Relations

  • Gathering and analyzing client needs to define technical and organizational specifications
  • Accompanying clients in defining the technical aspects of products, implementation strategy, and associated roadmap
  • Ensuring the adequacy and quality between developments and expressed client needs
  • Ensuring the interface with telecom operators, from the scoping phase to product and end-to-end system validations

Project Management & Coordination

  • Coordinating all software activities and validation in conjunction with the rest of the project, respecting cost/quality/deadline commitments
  • Defining, tracking, and adjusting the schedule and associated risks
  • Reporting to management (R&D and Business)
  • Participating and organizing technical meetings with the client
  • Managing developments and validation phases, both internally and externally (SoC vendor suppliers, open-source community, co-development with operator)

Management & Cross-functional

  • Managing and coordinating development teams distributed internationally (Canada, France, Tunisia, Asia)
  • Ensuring coordination with non-software internal teams (hardware, industrial, customer support, marketing)
  • Managing partners and third parties (software solution suppliers, chipset suppliers) to ensure integration and quality of solutions

Technical Expertise

  • Working on products at the core of network usage:
  • Operator WAN access
  • High-performance Wi-Fi
  • Mesh networks
  • Remote configuration

  • Ensuring the integration of third-party software components in a complex environment

Education & Experience

  • Graduated from an engineering school or equivalent (telecoms/computer science)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++, Linux)

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in embedded systems under Linux
  • Good mastery of network environments: TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Mesh networks
  • Comprehensive understanding of system challenges (software, hardware, industrialization, customer support)

Functional Skills

  • Ability to transform a client need into exploitable technical specifications for development teams
  • Ability to manage, with the support of experts, non-software related topics such as industrialization, hardware, and customer support
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to manage external partners and ensure the quality of deliverables
