We are looking for an X3 Risk Selection Consultant GC1364-07-A to join our team of advisors at our Quebec or Montreal office as a permanent position.

This position is hybrid in Quebec, Montreal, or Longueuil.

As an advisor/consultant for Chrome Technologies, the candidate will interact with our clients to complete the projects they have entrusted to us.

Tasks

In order to strengthen its data governance team, the organization is looking for a Data Governance Advisor. The person holding the role will actively contribute to the implementation and evolution of data governance processes and strategy, in support of business priorities and strategic projects.

They will proactively participate in the Horizon project, a continuous collective effort, and will collaborate closely with a central governance team composed of four internal resources, as well as several multidisciplinary project teams. The position requires comfort with technological environments, particularly with the COLLIBRA tool, and the ability to interact with external suppliers as needed.

Tasks and skills sought:

  • Support the Data Leader of the sector in achieving the team's vision and mission.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the sector's data governance processes.
  • Support the team leader of the sector in achieving the strategic objectives of data governance.
  • Accompany the sector teams, in collaboration with the Data Governance Office, in implementing best practices in data governance.
  • Actively participate in the main data governance activities of the sector (data classification, business data definition and glossary, data quality, data transfer, data lifecycle, etc.).
  • Collect the sector's data governance needs and translate them into actions.
  • Participate in the advancement of the product notebook (backlog) and the elaboration of the team's user stories.
  • Participate in and coordinate, if necessary, data governance work with the sector's various business partners.
  • Actively contribute to the identification and presentation of the benefits brought by data governance.
  • Participate in the planning of projects for activities related to data governance.
  • Lead workshops with various business partners to ensure the achievement of data governance objectives.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a data governance role.
  • Experience in defining and implementing processes, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and ability to present presentations.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and autonomy.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and strong ability to adapt to evolving priorities according to business needs.
  • Experience with COLLIBRA required.
  • Appetite for work in a developing function and a strong interest in the implementation of long-term foundations.
  • Experience in the financial and insurance sector is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile and Lean foundations in a project context is an asset.
