In collaboration with experienced lawyers, in collegiality within a competent administrative support team, and using an established system, the person sought will be called upon to perform the following tasks within the medical responsibility and personal injury group:

  • Open files, obtain necessary documentation from various medical facilities, and ensure their updates;
  • Transcribe, write, and correct judicial procedures and correspondence, including letters, expert mandates, service notes, and file notes, from a digital transcription system;
  • Participate in various stages of the dispute, including the signification and notification of documents and procedures, preparation of file and authority binders, instance protocols, and calculate deadlines;
  • Maintain contact with the client;
  • File, digitize, and archive documents and electronic files;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the tracking system and required entries;
  • Participate in the preparation of various documents such as forms, memos, reports, write current correspondence, and process bill payments;
  • Prepare expense reports and time entries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant;
  • Excellent French language skills, both oral and written;
  • Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Knowledge of Imanage software (asset);
  • Knowledge of Maître software (asset).
