In collaboration with experienced lawyers, in collegiality within a competent administrative support team, and using an established system, the person sought will be called upon to perform the following tasks within the medical responsibility and personal injury group:
- Open files, obtain necessary documentation from various medical facilities, and ensure their updates;
- Transcribe, write, and correct judicial procedures and correspondence, including letters, expert mandates, service notes, and file notes, from a digital transcription system;
- Participate in various stages of the dispute, including the signification and notification of documents and procedures, preparation of file and authority binders, instance protocols, and calculate deadlines;
- Maintain contact with the client;
- File, digitize, and archive documents and electronic files;
- Ensure the proper functioning of the tracking system and required entries;
- Participate in the preparation of various documents such as forms, memos, reports, write current correspondence, and process bill payments;
- Prepare expense reports and time entries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant;
- Excellent French language skills, both oral and written;
- Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite;
- Knowledge of Imanage software (asset);
- Knowledge of Maître software (asset).
