We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Director, Canada to lead the growth of Genetec's business across the country. Reporting to the Vice-President, Sales North America, this role is responsible for executing the Canadian sales strategy, driving revenue growth across all market segments, and leading a high-performing sales team.
The National Sales Director will develop strong relationships with customers, channel partners, consultants, and industry actors, while identifying new business opportunities and strengthening Genetec's market presence. In close collaboration with teams across North America, this person will contribute to aligning regional priorities with company objectives, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and commercial excellence, and instilling deep trust within the Canadian commercial organization and beyond, through clear communication and effective leadership in implementing change initiatives that support sustainable growth.
Your Day in a Nutshell
- Develop and implement the national sales strategy to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and long-term success of the company across Canada
- Translate this strategy into clear priorities for the Canadian sales team
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, trust, and continuous improvement, while supporting talent development and succession planning
- Ensure the achievement of annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for all product lines, including strategic growth initiatives such as SaaS solutions
- Define performance objectives, track sales effectiveness, and hold teams accountable for pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and sales results
- Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with company objectives and responding to the evolving needs of customers, partners, and the market
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and growth strategies to strengthen Genetec's position across Canada
- Establish and maintain high-level relationships with customers, channel partners, consultants, technology partners, professional associations, and key stakeholders to support company growth and strategic opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing, product management, customer experience, and other cross-functional teams to maximize sales results, support market initiatives, and influence product strategy based on customer and market insights
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, industry shifts, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making and competitive positioning
- Ensure the effective implementation of distribution programs, partner engagement strategies, project registration processes, and best sales practices
- Lead forecasting, sales planning, budgeting, territory definition, and resource allocation activities, providing regular sales updates and recommendations to leadership
- Ensure the effective use of CRM and sales tools to maintain operational excellence, data integrity, and actionable sales information
- Foster alignment between Canadian market priorities and company objectives, while maintaining close collaboration with North American leadership and headquarters teams
- Approve strategic account plans, pricing decisions, and sales initiatives to support company objectives and growth goals
- Promote continuous improvement and encourage sustainable growth and change
- Continue to develop a performance and collaboration-focused culture
What Makes You an Excellent Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Over 10 years of sales experience in the technology, software, SaaS, or physical security sectors
- Over 5 years of experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Proven track record of revenue growth and sales target achievement
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and marketing plans
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Experience in building relationships with high-level customers, partners, and key stakeholders
- Sharp business sense, strategic mindset, and excellent decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Based in a major Canadian city, preferably Toronto or Montreal
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in French is a plus
- Valid passport and driver's license, with availability to travel up to 75% of the time
Your Technical Expertise
- Excellent knowledge of IP technologies, networks, and enterprise computing environments
- Previous experience with cloud and SaaS solutions
- Experience in supporting the deployment and implementation of solutions, as well as associated change management initiatives
- Ability to design, position, and support complex enterprise solutions and large-scale system deployments
- Excellent knowledge of system integrations, solution architectures, and technological ecosystems
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
