Health Quebec Bas-Saint-Laurent is seeking candidates to fill the position of Coordinator – Teaching, Research and Innovation at the Quality, Ethics, Performance, Teaching, Research and Innovation Department (DQEPERI). Our establishment employs over 9,600 people with a budget of $1.1 billion.
Under the authority of the Deputy Director of Quality, Ethics, Performance, Teaching, Research and Innovation, the Coordinator – Teaching, Research and Innovation provides support and management of the teaching, research and innovation sectors. They exercise hierarchical authority over the Head of the Teaching Service, the Teaching Framework Advisor, the Head of the Research and Innovation Service, and the Research and Innovation Framework Advisor. They carry out their duties in conjunction with the annual planning of the department and the establishment, with a perspective of optimizing the resources allocated to them.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures the promotion and development of a culture and mission of teaching, research and innovation within the establishment.
- Collaborates in the development of the department's strategic planning, action priorities and annual objectives.
- Ensures compliance with policies and regulations from the sectors under their responsibility.
- Collaborates in the development, revision and compliance with regulations and policies related to teaching, research and innovation within the establishment.
- Ensures the animation of various committees related to the coordination of teaching, research and innovation.
- Manages human, financial, technical, informational and material resources of the sectors under their responsibility.
- Assists the Deputy Director, the Medical Director of Teaching and the Scientific Director of Research in their functions and performs ad hoc duties.
- Represents the department at various committees and external bodies as requested by their immediate superior.
- Performs any other tasks related to their field of activity as requested by their immediate superior.
Teaching Activities Coordination
- Collaborates in the coordination of medical teaching activities with teaching physicians.
- Coordinates the planning and implementation of professional internships in collaboration with teaching houses.
- Ensures the application of the internship management process and the evaluation and continuous improvement modalities.
Research Support
- Collaborates in the development of a philanthropic strategy and the search for autonomous funding.
- Supervises approaches to various funding organizations to ensure the sustainability of research activities.
Innovation Support
- Ensures the implementation of the service offer for the development of innovations and cutting-edge practices, the transfer and valorization of knowledge, and the evaluation of technologies and intervention modes.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a health sciences discipline. A graduate degree is an asset;
- Good knowledge of teaching environments and internship management;
- Good experience in the professional development of medical and professional teaching;
- Experience in internship management is an asset;
- Three (3) years of experience in a management position. Significant experience may be considered to make up for the years of management experience;
- Ability to travel on the territory when required;
- Any combination of experience or training deemed relevant may compensate for one or the other of the requirements.

Remuneration
- According to the current regulations,
- Salary class no. 40
Annual salary as of April 1, 2026: between $105,332 and $136,935 (determined according to the *Regulation on certain working conditions applicable to the cadres of health and social services agencies and establishments*).
