The "FBW & Secondary Flight Control" engineering team and the company need a Technical Expert, Engineering who is rigorous and disciplined, with product, process, and application experience, to ensure continuous competence support for secondary and electrical flight control systems for in-service products (Challenger, Global Express, Global 8000), while preparing for the challenges and requirements of future programs (Ecojet).

What are your contributions to the team?

• Integrate the secondary and electrical flight control system into the aircraft.
• Develop concepts and philosophy with external system suppliers.
• Perform/review analysis to assess the feasibility of concepts for future platforms.
• Conduct comparative studies and life cycle cost analyses for future programs.
• Develop, validate, and verify the technical requirements of the secondary and electrical flight control system.
• + Review/prepare technical requirements
• + Review/prepare test procedures

+ Perform tests on test benches (in Montreal) and/or on aircraft (Wichita/Toronto/Montreal) + Review/prepare test reports to support certification activities

• Solve problems related to in-service aircraft.
• + Investigation, problem identification, definition, and implementation of corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with the ARP4754 development process
• Ensure that the design and implementation process of the resulting equipment complies with Bombardier's requirements and standards.

Occasional travel to supplier facilities and certification authorities, as well as on-site support at the final assembly line (Toronto and Montreal), finishing center (Montreal), and Flight Test Center (Wichita).

How will you thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) and have at least 10 years of experience in an aerospace-related field.
• You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one secondary and/or electrical flight control system.
• You have an excellent understanding of all aspects of the definition, integration, and certification of systems and have good knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, autopilot, etc.).
• You have good knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
• You have experience in software development DAL A following ARP 4754, DO178 recommendations, as well as hardware/software interactions for flight control controllers (or equivalent complex system).
• You have practical knowledge of the simulation environment... Experience in requirement definition by modeling would be an asset.
• You have good knowledge of MS Office and requirement management tools would be an asset.
• You have excellent oral presentation skills in French and English.
• You have the ability to work with limited supervision, be organized, have a team spirit, be motivated, customer-focused, and able to work under pressure.
• You must also demonstrate initiative, innovation, and leadership, a keen sense of responsibility and integrity, adaptability, good interpersonal communication skills, sound engineering judgment, and a willingness to achieve results.
