Here's what your daily routine would look like in our team!
The main role of the person in this job class is to assist teachers in the preparation, presentation, and supervision of laboratory activities. They also ensure the overall proper functioning of the laboratory.
More specifically, the technician:
- Assists teachers in organizing, presenting, and supervising laboratory activities;
- Participates in teacher demonstrations;
- Supervises and verifies students' work during free practice and answers their questions;
- Manages free practice rooms;
- Prepares the required materials for laboratories and exams and keeps an inventory;
- Performs necessary tests on equipment to ensure proper functioning and follows up as required otherwise;
- Ensures the maintenance, proper use, and storage of laboratory materials and accessories;
- Ensures compliance with health and safety standards when using, handling, and storing equipment;
- Participates in the development and updating of procedure manuals;
- Prepares operating procedure sheets for laboratory equipment;
- Prepares material orders according to established procedures;
- Performs any other related tasks.

Education
- Hold a College Diploma (DEC) in Radio-Oncology Techniques;
- Be a member of the Order of Technologists in Medical Imaging and Radio-Oncology and Medical Electrophysiology of Quebec (OTIMROEPMQ).

- Ability to work in a team;
- Strong organizational skills;

- Rigor and meticulousness;
- Good command of written and spoken French.

Although the current need of the college is for 35 hours per week, a part-time schedule can be considered if the selected person is not available full-time. The work schedule may vary between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM according to the department's laboratory periods and the selected person's availability.
