Delivery Driver

The delivery driver will play a crucial role in the fast and efficient delivery of goods, while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift heavy loads, as well as experience in warehouse operations and commercial driving.

The incumbent will be responsible for transporting and delivering orders from the food processing plant to Cari & Gingembre's customers, at a rate of 32 to 40 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive a van or light truck;
• Handle all delivery operations (loading, transporting, and unloading);
• Organize routes based on traffic schedules and other customer satisfaction requirements (timing, quality, service);
• In some cases, place the order for the customer;
• Verify with the customer if the order is complete or if any products are missing;
• Sign invoices and bring them to the immediate supervisor;
• Ensure the vehicle is in good condition by performing routine maintenance (tire inflation, cleanliness, oil changes, etc.);
• During workdays at the plant, the driver must assemble customer orders;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;
• French spoken and written (required)
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members;
• Ability to regularly lift and move heavy loads up to 22.5 kg;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
