L'Alto Residence is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for a permanent position:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Unionized position
  • Schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Salary up to 22.93$

What you will do with us

  • Perform minor plumbing and mechanical repairs
  • Collaborate and contribute to the maintenance activities of the residence to keep the interior spaces safe and in good condition
  • Respond to various service calls and provide excellent customer service with friendliness and professionalism
  • Carry out various repair, renovation, and modification work (cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring)
  • Perform periodic checks and routine adjustments of equipment (lighting, heating, air conditioning, elevators, smoke detectors, intercoms, etc.)
  • In collaboration with the Maintenance Director, conduct daily building inspections, report anomalies, diagnose problems, and propose solutions
  • In collaboration with the Maintenance Director, ensure the establishment complies with hygiene standards, take measures to prevent contamination
  • Contribute to accident prevention and the safety of the premises, as well as the supervision of the residence

What you must have to work with us

  • Hold a high school diploma
  • Professional training in general building maintenance (asset)
  • Have 1 year or more of experience in building maintenance (asset)
  • Be in very good physical condition (required)
  • Proficiency in French (required)
  • Autonomy and a great sense of initiative
  • Ability to handle emergency situations, versatility, teamwork
  • Valid driver's license (asset)
