- Your role as a Junior IT Systems Specialist / Administrator at Transdev:
Transdev Quebec is looking for a Junior IT Systems Specialist / Administrator to participate in the mobilization phase of its railway project in the Greater Montreal area. The selected person will contribute to user support as well as the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT systems and infrastructure. This position is ideal for a proactive person looking to develop their expertise in systems administration and contribute to the implementation of a 24/7, 7 days a week, 365 days a year railway operation.
Responsibilities of a Junior IT Systems Specialist / Administrator include:
- Provide level 1 and 2 technical support to internal users (hardware, software, and networks).
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
- Participate in user account management (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, permissions, employee onboarding and offboarding).
- Support and maintain Windows environments and basic network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and contribute to server maintenance and updates.
- Document incidents, solutions, and procedures in the IT knowledge base.
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
- Participate in IT projects, deployments, and system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies and best practices.
- Contribute to vulnerability management and security incident escalation.
- Support cybersecurity awareness and risk reduction initiatives for end-users.
- Provide support and administration of security tools and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) systems.

Requirements
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Windows 11 environments.
- Interest in evolving towards a Systems Administrator role.
- Strong knowledge of the following: Windows Server environments, AWS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 / Exchange.
- Fundamental networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Basic PowerShell scripting. The following are assets:
- Experience in cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of endpoint management tools (CrowdStrike, Knox, ConnectWise).
- Experience with backup and monitoring tools.
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.).
- Bilingualism (French and English) required. The person holding the position will need to regularly communicate with colleagues across Canada as well as with external suppliers, clients, and partners whose working language is English.
- Valid driver's license and availability to make frequent trips to various sites in the Greater Montreal area after the mobilization period.
