Data and AI Advisor - Expert

The Data and AI Advisor Expert acts as a strategic advisor to organizations to frame, govern, and leverage data and AI initiatives. They support business and technology teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing responsible AI solutions, ensuring risk management, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives. They also contribute to the development of governance frameworks, strategic analyses, and best practices that promote sustainable and effective adoption of artificial intelligence.

Functions and Responsibilities . Design and evolve the data and AI governance framework (committees, roles, responsibilities); . Recommend mechanisms for control, risk management, and accountability for AI systems; . Produce AI risk analyses; . Establish roadmaps and action plans for the implementation of data and AI governance; . Map information assets and critical data flows for AI projects; . Conduct strategic surveillance on technological advancements, tools, and trends in AI; . Produce strategic analyses to assist in decision-making related to data and AI; . Identify opportunities for process improvement through AI and analyze business unit needs to identify relevant use cases; . Produce AI need analyses and use cases; . Evaluate the technical and operational feasibility of AI initiatives; . Recommend AI solutions tailored to organizational objectives, considering technical, ethical, and regulatory constraints; . Collaborate in the development and deployment of proofs of concept (POCs); . Collaborate with IT teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions; . Define performance indicators to measure the impact of implemented AI solutions; . Ensure compliance of AI initiatives with security, data protection, and ethics standards; . Produce guidelines for responsible AI best practices; . Write analyses, strategic reports, recommendations, and outreach materials for decision-makers; . Participate in the development of internal policies and governance frameworks; . Prepare content to train and raise awareness among employees and managers about the issues, opportunities, and limitations of AI.

Qualities Required to Succeed in This Role . 15 years of experience in information technology; . 8 years of experience as an advisor in the fields of data, enterprise architecture, analytics, or AI, performing the activities listed above, for large organizations; . In the last 3 years, as an AI advisor, have completed a minimum of 3 mandates of more than 5 months each involving the implementation of a proof of concept or AI solution, for large organizations; . In the last 3 years, have completed a minimum of 2 mandates of more than 2.5 months each in the following areas: automation, machine learning, agentic AI, and generative AI; . In the last 3 years, have completed a minimum of 2 mandates of more than 2.5 months each involving a modern AI platform such as: Copilot, Copilot Studio, SAP Joule, Azure Foundry, or equivalent.

Assets . One year of experience as a developer in the development of AI solutions using cloud services "MLOPS" which consist of industrializing and automating the lifecycle of AI models; . In the last 5 years, have completed mandates involving development with a development language in the field of AI such as Python.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This position is open.
