Azure DevOps Expert – Data Platform

Work Mode: Hybrid

Duration of Mandate: Approximately 3 months

Context of the Mandate

As part of the Operational Data Platform (ODP) roadmap, the team is looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to modernize and optimize its deployment processes.

The ODP team currently consists of Data Engineers responsible for the development and maintenance of data integration solutions primarily based on Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

The objective of this mandate is to improve and automate the deployment cycle to make deployments faster, more reliable, and more reproducible between development, test, and production environments.

The consultant will work closely with the development team to implement DevOps best practices and an effective CI/CD approach.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering, Release Engineering, or deployment automation.

Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.

Experience in automating Microsoft application and SQL Server database deployments.

Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).

Qualities Required to Succeed in this Role

Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or Release Engineering.

Demonstrated experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.

Experience in automating application and database deployments in Microsoft environments.

Excellent knowledge of Git and source code management best practices.

Experience in Agile development environments.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between 60,000$-115,000$. This position is vacant.
