The Cloud Migration Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from on-premises environments to cloud platforms. This role ensures smooth execution of migration activities, minimal downtime, and compliance with security and governance standards. Acting as the central point of coordination, the Cloud Migration PM works closely with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver successful cloud migration projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Develop and maintain migration schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
• Coordinate tasks across technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Migration Planning

• Assist in assessing current infrastructure for cloud readiness.
• Support the development of migration strategies and wave planning.

Execution Support

• Monitor migration activities and ensure adherence to project milestones.
• Track issues, escalate risks, and facilitate resolution.

Documentation \& Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of migration processes, configurations, and decisions.
• Provide regular status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

Compliance \& Governance

• Ensure migration activities align with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Post-Migration Support

• Coordinate testing, validation, and troubleshooting after migration.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in IT Project Management or cloud migration projects.

Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure DevOps, and AWS Migration Hub.

Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP Certification.
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent cloud certification.
