YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES:

Reporting to the finance supervisor, you will be part of the finance department and work closely with the various operational departments. During the first few months of your integration, you will perform accounting functions to gain a deep understanding of the company's accounting and financial operations, facilitating your transition to your role as a financial analyst.

In this role, you will be: Assigned to the role of accountant for the first 4 to 6 months:

• Maintain up-to-date accounting records;
• Provide a monthly analysis of the balance sheet accounts;
• Prepare all end-of-period journal entries and associated calculations;
• Produce division reports (Opex, Capex, Exploration, and Variances) for each month-end;
• Comply with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Assigned to the role of financial analyst

• Actively participate in the budgeting and quarterly forecasting process;
• Produce relevant financial analyses to understand operational results;
• Support various departments by providing financial support for cost tracking and various analyses;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly reports and quarterly results presentations;
• Contribute to the execution of various analyses requested by the division or corporate, relating to the fields of taxation and finance, among others;
• Take charge of and complete various files (e.g., fuel taxes, Quebec mining tax, consumption taxes, R&D);
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUR SUCCESS

• Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance;
• Be a member or be on track to become a member of a recognized professional accounting association in Quebec (CPA), or hold an MBA will be considered an asset;
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience;
• Have experience in the mining industry or an accounting firm is an asset;
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well in a team;
• Be thorough and have a concern for quality;
• Demonstrate autonomy, good priority management, and stress tolerance;
• Be able to communicate clearly in English is an asset.

Your work schedule

• The employee works on a 5/2 (8 hours) or 5/2-4/3 (9 hours) schedule, full-time, during the day.
