We are looking for security controllers to fill positions at the Saint-Jean Barracks.
Hours: Monday to
Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

YOUR MISSION…
- Control and direct traffic;
- Know and operate the access control software used for vehicle and pedestrian access at entrances and exits;
- Ensure the validity and need for a visitor to access;
- Complete the temporary customer registry;
- Note details related to all unusual events and incidents that occur while on duty and immediately notify;
- Control and distribute keys giving access to restricted buildings or vehicles;
- Take necessary measures in case of emergency (emergency entry, fire, bomb alert, etc.);
- Perform sporadic searches of incoming and outgoing vehicles and pay special attention to vehicles that seem at risk;
- Perform sporadic checks of packages, briefcases, and bags carried by incoming and outgoing staff;
- Apply security measures according to the force's protection levels and directives;
- Know and regularly review post instructions and apply the procedures outlined;
- Use the portable radio or telephone to establish contact as needed;
- Familiarize yourself with computer security documentation;
- Inform your superiors of any special events;
- Produce incident/accident reports;
- Respect working hours and ensure tasks are completed on time and as requested;
- Keep your workplace clean at all times;
- Perform all other related tasks.
YOU HAVE/HAVE
- Excellent observation and organizational skills;
- Good stress management;
- The ability to interact with a diverse clientele (in French and English);
- The ability to intervene quickly when needed;
- A valid regular BSP license;
- A valid CNESST first aid certificate;
- Comfortable with computers;
- A driver's license;
- 10 years on Canadian territory (Required to be eligible for background check for reliability score).
