Reporting to the Director - Train Operations, you will be responsible for the rigorous and effective supervision of train activities on the network. It is expected that you actively support the Train team and internal and external partners. You make operational decisions, share roles and responsibilities, and ensure that all tasks are completed. You take the necessary actions in case of service disruptions. You ensure that the tasks of communicating the service status in real-time are assigned and performed effectively and establish the necessary links with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Train Control Center Coordinator collaborates with other exo departments to ensure quality service to users.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the tasks of your team members to properly guide actions and ensure the appropriate dissemination of communications related to train service delivery;
- Participate and supervise the monitoring of the exo network for the tracking of train service delivery;
- Collaborate with on-the-ground Train teams in their regular operations, special operations, and emergency situations;
- Address issues related to punctuality and train schedules with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Develop the action plan for train logistics and customer communication during service disruptions, placing the customer at the center of decisions;
- Be alert to urgent situations on radio frequencies and guide the network controller team appropriately regarding safety and security issues on the exo network;
- Receive calls from railway operators or communicate with them to obtain information on train movements;
- Act as a resource person for team leaders and supervisors to provide instructions to field teams;
- Follow up on customer complaints;
- Cover network controller shifts when required;
- Process and compile suburban train operation statistics;
- Collaborate with various internal (CCA, CSMU, TI/STI, etc.) and external (CN, CP, Alstom, etc.) stakeholders;
- Actively participate in the development of the group's operational procedures.

Normal Job Requirements
Education
- DEC in transport logistics or any other relevant combination of studies and experience;
- Certification on Canadian railway operating regulations is an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in dispatching or within a service;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational team coordination and ideally 3 years of experience in the railway industry;
- Holding a certification on Canadian railway operating regulations is an asset;
- The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of public transportation. Knowledge of railway operations, schedule logistics, and experience working in a dispatching or control center is an asset.

- Mastery of computer tools (MS Office Suite: Excel, Outlook) and ease of learning in an evolving technological environment (Security Desk, SAP, ESM).

- Employment Period and Schedule
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Position rotates between day and night shifts over a two-week cycle. Assignment of work shifts is based on employee choice according to their seniority within the CCT team.
- *However, due to operations, exo may, during this period, modify the schedules when there are changes in train schedules, reductions or increases in staff, changes in assignments, or similar situations.*
