The Senior Finance Director Canada is responsible for the financial direction for the entire Canada. He supervises financial planning, economic activity control, and business unit management. He ensures the reliability of financial results, prepares budgets, optimizes operational processes, and supports growth strategies. He plays a key role as business partners, aligning financial and operational decisions with corporate objectives, while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and profitability of all operations.
Essential tasks and responsibilities
- Lead and optimize the budgeting process;
- Ensure effective use of human and material resources to achieve corporate and departmental objectives;
- Perform human resources management of his team (hiring, management, etc.);
- Manage and optimize the activities of the Confab and LSN accounting teams' sites and ensure liaison with the head office of ''Shared services'' (accounts payable and receivable);
- Harmonize accounting processes and general ledgers according to the company's objectives;
- Prepare financial statements according to accounting standards for various partners;
- Develop and implement financial control policies and procedures;
- Ensure clear interpretation and presentation of financial data;
- Manage external audit firms and financial institutions used by Confab and LSN;
- Manage treasury;
- Evaluate investment projects;
- Ensure achievement of financial objectives (EBITDA, liquidity) for Canadian business units;
- Responsible for governance and oversight of external audits;
- Interpret, analyze, and present financial results to senior management;
- Participate in various strategic committees;
- Lead, support, and supervise the annual and quarterly budgeting process;
- Support business units in achieving their objectives;
- Coordinate treasury management;
- Lead, support, and coach employees under his responsibility;
- Participate in the development of financial tools (submission, cost of goods sold, renewal, cost control).
