Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Regional Health and Safety Advisor plays a key role in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety practices for the four business units of Induspac Group. The person will act as a partner to management and employee teams, with a primary focus on a designated plant.

You will be responsible for supporting operations in accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and the development of a strong health and safety culture, including:

• Acting as a resource person for managers and employees on all health and safety matters;
• Conducting on-site visits, preventive inspections, and follow-ups on corrective actions;
• Participating in risk analyses, accident investigations, and health and safety event analyses to identify causes and implement preventive measures;
• Collaborating with production teams to develop and implement safe work practices;
• Supporting health and safety committees and accompanying health and safety representatives in their initiatives;
• Managing CNESST case files in collaboration with the prevention mutual and internal stakeholders;
• Participating in the development, updating, and deployment of health and safety policies, procedures, and programs;
• Participating in the development and updating of prevention programs;
• Developing and offering training and awareness activities for employees and managers;
• Compiling and analyzing health and safety indicators (frequency, severity, incidents, preventive actions) and producing follow-up reports;
• Collaborating with HR teams of other business units to ensure the harmonization of health and safety practices and the sharing of best practices;
• Participating in various continuous improvement projects aimed at strengthening the prevention culture within the Group.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• University degree in occupational health and safety, industrial relations, human resources management, or related field;
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Good knowledge of legislative requirements in occupational health and safety in Quebec and Ontario, including the LSST, RSST, CNESST standards, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) of Ontario;
• Experience in accident analysis, risk prevention, and implementation of corrective measures;
• Experience with a proactive prevention approach and continuous improvement.

• Good knowledge of English (frequent contacts with colleagues from Ontario);
• Availability for occasional travel (Ottawa and Toronto);
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
