DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Marie-Victorin Park: a museum-garden recognized for its giant mosaic gardens and carnivorous plants... Here, we cultivate the extraordinary!

Under the supervision of the team leader, the gardener is part of a horticultural team of 12 people and participates in the maintenance of 7 themed gardens that include beautiful plant collections and giant mosaic gardens!

FUNCTIONS

Planting, soil amendment, pruning, fertilization, weed control,...

Structuring of raised beds and planting of annuals

Planting and pruning of mosaic gardens

Maintenance of water features

Maintenance of tree, shrub, and perennial collections

Maintenance of paths and borders

Opening and closing garden work

Operation of small vehicles REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Horticulture training*;

Good physical condition;

Good tolerance to various weather conditions;

Have a good team spirit and good autonomy;

Will be considered as assets any relevant experience in the following fields: horticultural production, pruning, specialized equipment, irrigation, phytosanitary treatments.

Language required: French spoken and written

• No horticulture training? An assistant gardener position is also available.

• Start date: immediately
• Full-time seasonal permanent position (40 hours, 26 weeks, from April to October)
• Possibility of team management according to the candidate's skills
