The challenges that await you

Reporting to the deputy director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the activities of preventive and corrective maintenance of the infrastructures. In this capacity, you will collaborate in the strategic planning of the service and ensure efficient management of human, financial, and material resources of your division to ensure the longevity of municipal assets, the safety of users, and the quality of services offered to the population, while respecting the strategic orientations, policies, regulations, and budgets established by the City.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will define and deploy the strategic vision of the division regarding maintenance;
  • You will contribute to the development of seasonal and annual maintenance programs, according to operational and budgetary priorities;
  • You will plan, direct, and control the administrative and operational activities of the division to ensure the best possible performance of the work while limiting the downtime of equipment;
  • You will ensure compliance and application of health and safety standards at work during maintenance operations;
  • You will follow up and control the maintenance contracts carried out by external suppliers;
  • You will define the priorities of intervention based on needs, urgencies, and available resources;
  • You will evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance processes and work methods in relation to the set objectives;
  • You will ensure the optimal use of computer-aided maintenance management software (GMAO) to manage all maintenance activities of the service: issuance of requests and interventions, preparation and scheduling of work, management of supplies and stocks, closing of interventions, as well as the preparation of performance indicators and reports;
  • You will advise the management on the maintenance of facilities.

The ideal profile for us

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or any other relevant degree;
  • Member of the Order of Engineers or in the process of obtaining it;
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems (electricity, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc.) and industrial process systems (mechanical, electricity and control, etc.);
  • Mastery of maintenance management tools and software (GMAO);
  • Good knowledge of normative and safety rules for buildings;
  • Good knowledge of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance processes;
  • Competence in contractual management and preparation of maintenance tenders;
  • Understanding of the availability, reliability, and cost issues related to equipment;
  • Must have training in safety for construction sites (SST).
