DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a nurse to join the team of the Brief Psychiatric Intervention Unit at Anna-Laberge Hospital.

Permanent position available: Part-time 7/15 or full-time night shift

The Brief Psychiatric Intervention Unit is a specialized mental health unit offering care to individuals requiring short-term hospitalization, with the goal of facilitating their return to the community. The main objective of the BPIU is to stabilize the clinical situation of users and facilitate their transition to appropriate external services. The intended duration of stay is a maximum of 72 hours.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Assume responsibility for a set of nursing care in accordance with the bio-psycho-social needs of users or groups of people entrusted to you
• Assess the user's health status, determine and ensure the implementation of the nursing care plan, care plan, and nursing treatments
• Initiate and provide nursing and medical care and treatments with the aim of maintaining health, restoring it, and preventing disease
• Prescribe laboratory tests, treatments, products, medications, and dressings in the fields of wound care and public health in accordance with the regulations in force
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate teaching to users, their families, and groups of people
• Participate in research aimed at promoting health and preventing disease

REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) in nursing

OR

• Hold a bachelor's degree (BAC) in nursing

OR

• Hold a bachelor's degree (BAC) comprising three (3) admissible certificates, of which at least two (2) are recognized in nursing

AND

• Be a member of the Order of Nurses and Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ)
• Be available to work one weekend out of two
