Why is this role important?
SUMMARY
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain good cash register operations.
- TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Provide excellent customer service and interact positively with all customers.
- Keep the cash register area clean and well-organized.
- Welcome all customers and adopt a warm attitude.
- Scan barcodes or enter product data accurately.
- Count money and discounts, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum points accurately.
- Ask customers for their PC Optimum card at each transaction.
MERCHANDISING
- Ensure adequate documentation is filled out regarding customer receipts and merchandise returns.
- Merchandise and keep designated areas in order (e.g., display products, posters, labels, etc.).
LOSS PREVENTION
- Adhere to loss prevention standards.
- Monitor money, lottery tickets, and stamp stocks.
GENERAL
- Present an appropriate image and conform to uniform and dress code guidelines.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Follow all store policies and procedures.
- Ensure cleaning and image standards are maintained.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
SKILLS
- Planning, judgment, and decision-making.
- Balance teamwork and efficiency when handling customer orders.
- Show organization and cleanliness.
- Handle customer orders effectively.
EXPERIENCE
- Have solid experience with computers and cash registers.
- Show good organization and file-keeping abilities.
- Attention to detail.
