The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), in collaboration with Santé Québec, is renewing the scholarship program aimed at supporting the training of pharmacy technicians (ATP) within the health and social services network (RSSS). This program is intended for individuals enrolled in a recognition of prior learning and competencies (RAC) process leading to the diploma of college studies (DEC) in pharmacy techniques (165.A0).
For the 2026-2027 academic year, Santé Québec Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal Universitaire is allocated several $12,500 scholarships each.
Who can receive the scholarship?
This scholarship program is addressed to pharmacy technicians (ATP) and senior pharmacy technicians (ATPs) who wish to have their professional competencies recognized within the framework of a recognition of prior learning and competencies (RAC-TP) process leading to the diploma of college studies (DEC) in pharmacy techniques (165.A0).

Qualifications Admissibility
- To be eligible, the candidate must:
- Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and reside in Quebec;
- Be admitted and have initiated a recognition of prior learning and competencies (RAC) process in pharmacy techniques (165.A0) at one of the authorized cégeps offering this training program;
- Commit to starting and completing the training program within the prescribed deadlines set by the educational institution;
- Be employed as a pharmacy technician (3212) or senior pharmacy technician (3215), or be in the hiring process and have been selected by one of the Santé Québec (ÉSQ) facilities within the framework of this scholarship program.
- Commitment
- Selected individuals must:
- Obtain the DEC in pharmacy techniques (165.A0) within the deadlines prescribed by the educational institution, within the framework of an RAC process;
- Work as a pharmacy technician or technician in one of the Santé Québec (ÉSQ) facilities for a minimum of two (2) years, starting from the date of obtaining the DEC;
- Provide and respect availability in accordance with local collective agreements and adapted to the needs of the facility;
- Provide proof of obtaining the DEC in pharmacy techniques (165.A0) upon obtaining it.
