Scholarship Program - Psychology Internship

Sante Quebec Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal Universitaire includes 26 facilities and serves a population of over 500,000 Montrealers. Affiliated with the University of Montreal, it offers a comprehensive range of healthcare and social services, including housing services, general, specialized, superspecialized, and mental health care. Description Develop your professional future: receive a $25,000 scholarship to become a psychologist. The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), in collaboration with Sante Quebec, is renewing this scholarship program to support the next generation of psychologists within the healthcare and social services network (HSSN). This program is intended for individuals enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical psychology who are completing or are in the process of completing their internship. For the 2026-2027 academic year, Sante Quebec Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal Universitaire has several scholarships worth $25,000 each. Who can receive the scholarship? This scholarship program is open to students enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical psychology at a university recognized by the Quebec government, who are in the process of completing their internship or have begun it, and who will obtain their university degree no later than August 31, 2027, to practice as a psychologist. Students enrolled in neuropsychology may also be eligible for the scholarship, provided that funds remain available after allocation to students in the clinical psychology doctoral program. Qualifications Eligibility To be eligible, the candidate must: * Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and reside in Quebec; * Be enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical psychology at an educational institution recognized by the Quebec government; * Have completed, or be in the process of completing, the prerequisites to access the internship, or be currently completing an internship; * Plan to obtain their doctoral degree in clinical psychology by August 31, 2027; * Not have to re-enroll in an additional university term after August 31, 2027; * Be eligible to obtain a practice permit as a psychologist issued by the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ); * Be selected by one of the Sante Quebec (SQ) facilities through the application selection process and commit to practicing as a psychologist there. Commitment

Selected individuals must: * Obtain their doctoral degree in clinical psychology and the practice permit issued by the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ); * Practice as a psychologist in one of the Sante Quebec (SQ) facilities for a minimum of two (2) years, at a minimum of 28 hours per week; * Provide proof of obtaining the university degree in the clinical psychology doctoral program and a copy of the permit issued by the OPQ upon obtaining it.
