Your daily responsibilities
- Care for the animals: Feed the animals (cats, dogs, exotics) according to their specific needs, ensure the cleanliness of their living space, and handle animals in various situations, whether they are healthy, injured, sick, or deceased.
- Clean and organize: Clean and disinfect the living and work areas, ensure the supply of food and necessary materials, and manage the washing and storage of used linens for the animals' comfort.
- Monitor their well-being: Assess the basic health of the animals (vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia) and communicate changes to the medical or behavioral team.
- Collaborate and enrich: Collaborate with volunteers for animal enrichment and take dogs outside for their needs in the morning and in the absence of volunteers.
- Contribute to the team: Participate in team meetings, answer volunteers' questions, and record your observations in our animal tracking software.
You are the person we are looking for if
- You have training or knowledge related to animals or canine behavior (an asset).
- You demonstrate flexibility and consistency in your work.
- You are able to manage multiple tasks at once and follow established procedures and protocols.
- You have good stress management and are a team player who communicates effectively.
Your working conditions
- Your schedule: 15 hours per week (Saturdays and Sundays)
- Temporary position: minimum three months
- Starting salary: $18.07/hour
- Work location: Boucherville branch
