The working mode applicable to the position is full-time on-site*.
The Banquet Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the activities of the dining room and executive lounges in Montreal. This position is essential to ensure the smooth running of high-level events of the Desjardins Movement, both inside and outside the Desjardins premises. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Coordinate and participate in activities arising from the reservations of the executive dining room and executive lounges for various types of events related to the high-level direction of the Desjardins Movement
- Participate in the coordination of special events, inside the Desjardins premises, for the President and members of the high-level direction
- Provide support in managing the priorities of events related to the business development of Desjardins
- Collaborate in the preparation of different menus with the executive chef and assistant chef, taking into account the requests of the high-level direction members, and promoting local products
- Ensure the preparation of schedules, supervision, and training of the teams necessary for the activities taking place in Montreal
- Ensure the proper functioning of the different equipment and the respect of hygiene standards
- Collaborate in the supply of food and materials necessary for the different high-level direction events
- Ensure the vigilance of the respect of the access norms to the rooms and lounges

What you will bring to the table
- College diploma (DEC technical) in an appropriate discipline
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
- Significant experience in a similar position of restaurant service coordination
- Experience in team management
- French language proficiency required
- Expertise in event management and coordination
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and restaurant equipment
