Your responsibilities as a Service Assistant Manager
- Ensure the smooth operation of your department in terms of daily operations, work coordination, cashier balancing, customer service, and any other related tasks;
- The service department assistant also performs regular cashier duties;
- Assist the manager in planning and coordinating department activities to achieve the sales and profitability goals set by the director while respecting the applicable collective agreement;
- Assist the manager in employee management. Substitute for the manager when they are absent;
- Must be able to make purchases and place orders for department supplies;
- Must be able to conduct inventories of empty bottles, cigarettes, and lottery;
- Coordinate department activities to ensure appropriate price changes are made within the prescribed timeframes;
- Authorize refunds following punch card errors, merchandise returns, etc.;
- Responsible for collecting cashier deposits and recording data. Must be able to balance cash registers, store, vault, and lottery;
- Must be able to create employee schedules;
- Ensure the department's business operations;
- Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, security, etc.) and hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety standards;
- Participate in employee recruitment, training, and evaluation.
Experience
- Relevant experience as a cashier;
- Experience in management is an asset.
