Since 2020, Le Canard Café has been a warm neighborhood café with a strong personality, far from the typical chain cafés. Here, we grind, sell our own coffee, and use fresh products.

What we need

We are looking for an assistant manager (trainee manager) primarily but not exclusively based in one of our cafés (Hochelaga branch), who will be responsible for:

• Recruiting, training, and supervising employees under your authority
• Establishing schedules
• Evaluating employee performance
• Performing inventory, restocking, and ordering
• Performing and/or following up on equipment maintenance
• Maintaining a pleasant work environment
• Welcoming, advising, and serving customers according to our standards

What we expect from you

• Collaborate on hiring and training
• Propose and implement strategies to achieve company objectives
• Ability to work closely with managers from other branches
• Good time and priority management

What you are

• Experience in a café
• Positive leadership attitude
• Critical analytical mindset
• Experience or interest in human resource management
