We are looking for a new person who wishes to contribute to a team of significant size, present across multiple sites, and recognized for its collaboration and expertise. Additionally, since the previous holder of the position remains within the organization, the selected person will benefit from a facilitated transition and support to ensure a smooth integration into their new role.
The Financial Controller and Business Partner for the Automated Vision Systems (AVS) product line acts as a key financial leader, ensuring the reliability of financial information, internal controls, monthly closings, and support for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. As a strategic advisor to the CEO, they contribute to decision-making, operational efficiency improvement, profitability, compliance, and process optimization in a multi-entity environment.

- As a Financial Controller and Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Financial Information and Monthly Closing
- Reviewing monthly financial statements and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Supervising monthly closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, provisions, and variance analyses.
- Ensuring the integrity, reliability, and consistency of financial data across different entities.
- Reviewing balance sheet accounts and tracking key financial indicators.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate procedures.
- Supporting external audit activities and preparing required documentation.
- Participating in the production of regulatory and tax financial reports.
- Business Partner and Operational Support
- Acting as a trusted financial partner to operational leaders and department managers.
- Supporting business decisions with financial analyses, recommendations, and relevant information.
- Translating financial information into concrete and applicable business strategies.
- Challenging established assumptions and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Collaborating with various departments to improve operational and financial performance.
- Guiding managers through budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes.
- Performance Management and Financial Planning
- Analyzing actual results against budget, forecasts, and prior periods, and identifying key performance factors.
- Actively participating in budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
- Ensuring the tracking of margins, project profitability, and cost structures.
- Supporting cash flow tracking and working capital optimization.
- Contributing to the preparation of financial models and profitability analyses.
- Process Improvement and Projects
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives for financial and operational processes.
- Collaborating with corporate teams, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), consolidation, tax, treasury, and internal audit.
- Supporting intercompany processes, cost allocations, and transfer pricing activities.
- Participating in strategic and ad-hoc projects as needed.

What makes you an asset to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA designation
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in an international and multi-entity environment considered an asset.
- Experience with monthly closing processes and financial analysis.
- Experience with an ERP system (SAP S/4HANA) considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment considered an asset.
- Experience in an accounting firm considered an asset.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial information.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business issues.
- Results-oriented and continuous improvement approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operational and financial stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy, versatility, and discretion.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Flexibility in working hours, particularly during monthly closing and budget preparation periods.
