Join our dynamic risk management team as a Credit Analyst, where you will leverage your analytical skills and credit expertise to make informed decisions that will shape our success. Under the responsibility of the Credit Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in evaluating financial data, formulating recommendations, and demonstrating discernment in credit analysis.
Responsibilities
- Approve and make decisions on transactions within the credit delegation granted to you.
- Present and recommend to your manager transactions exceeding your credit delegation, evaluating the total exposure and credit risk accurately.
- Analyze the financial situation, references, solvency, and repayment capacity of applicants.
- Collaborate with sales teams, vendor representatives, and brokers to negotiate terms.
- Conduct thorough research on individuals, companies, and guarantees to ensure compliance with solvency standards and "Know Your Customer" protocols.
- Communicate decisions to applicants, providing clear explanations and possible alternatives.
- Work cross-functionally with different departments to achieve common goals.
- Participate in various projects, bringing your expertise to achieve results.
- Undertake other tasks related to the role assigned to you.
Qualifications
- You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration - finance or accounting OR any other equivalent degree;
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in similar roles such as:
- + Consulting services, including financial statement analysis
- + Credit analysis, risk management
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and credit reporting.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Bilingual French-English to adequately serve our teams and clients across Canada.
- Strong analytical, judgment, synthesis, and organizational skills.
