SSP Canada operates several restaurants at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. Our restaurant assistant managers are experts in delegating tasks, providing exceptional customer service, leading by example, and developing their team.
Essential Functions
- Recruit, train, supervise, and effectively communicate with the *Food Travel Experts* team.
- Implement and maintain customer service standards and/or brand specifications.
- Maintain all merchandising standards, visual presentations, signage, and monitor inventory levels.
- Develop, plan, and assign daily objectives, tasks, and responsibilities for team members.
- Manage, supervise, and evaluate team performance, ensuring task and objective completion, and provide feedback, including disciplinary measures.
- Contribute to sales performance tracking by analyzing sales reports and performing comparative analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as provincial health and sanitation standards.
- Manage all administrative tasks, including fund management, receiving goods, inventory, purchases, scheduling, and team payroll.
Skills and Other Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the food service industry, in a management position.
- Experience in full-service restaurant settings is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to effectively manage conflicts and achieve positive results; ability to work under pressure and manage high-stress situations while demonstrating good judgment and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities.
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
