As a Financial Analyst at Chantier Davie, you will support the finance manager in overseeing the financial aspects of various contracts. You will play a key role in tracking, analyzing, and producing financial reports to ensure data accuracy and support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of budgets for cost centers.
- Analyze budgets for cost centers.
- Perform weekly cost tracking (contracts and general expenses).
- Produce detailed reports on budget tracking and evaluation (costs and general expenses).
- Analyze budget variances (budget forecasts vs actual costs) on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and project closure basis.
- Assist the controller during external audits.
- Participate in the preparation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor them.
- Identify non-value-added activities and propose corrective measures.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Interact closely with contract managers.
- Conduct comparative studies to track cost evolution and improvements.
- Prepare monthly reports for management.
- Perform any other tasks related to your functions, as requested by your immediate supervisor.
Requirements – Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience with Canadian procurement standards (Requirement 1031-2: experience with Canadian procurement standards).
- Excellent proficiency in the Office suite (particularly Excel) and Oracle.
- Proficiency in both French and English (both spoken and written). English proficiency is required for this position, as you will be required to interact with English-speaking suppliers, partners, or clients.
Working Conditions are
- Full-time permanent position (40 hours/week)
- Work location: Lévis office, with possible remote work
- Salary ranging from $88,530.00 to $100,000.00.
