The finance team at Transteck, the number 1 transporter offering vehicle delivery services throughout Canada and the United States, is expanding and we are looking for an ambitious person for the position of Financial Director.

Your role:

The Financial Director plays a strategic role within the organization and acts as a business partner to the senior management. He/she is responsible for the financial orientation of the company, the management of financial performance and the continuous improvement of processes. He/she supervises the financial team and ensures the solidity of management practices, while actively contributing to strategic decisions and structural projects of the organization.

Your contribution: 1. Financial Strategy and Business Partnership *This section covers visionary aspects, long-term planning, and the role of strategic consulting.*

• Define and drive the organization's financial strategy in collaboration with senior management.
• Manage the company's treasury and ensure optimal planning of cash flows.
• Actively participate in strategic planning and the annual budgeting process.
• Ensure rigorous financial analysis of growth projects and business opportunities.
• Act as a key business partner to support operational decisions.
• Actively contribute to the organization's structural projects (ex: 2026 acquisition plans).
• Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize profitability.
• 2. Operational Management and Governance
• *This section covers accounting rigor, compliance, team management, and internal control.*
• Supervise the entire complete accounting cycle of the organization.
• Ensure the reliability and integrity of financial data through rigorous processes.
• Coordinate end-of-month processes and the preparation of financial statements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance, including cross-border issues (Canada / USA).
• Supervise, coach, and develop the financial department and its members.
• Ensure the continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes.
• Ensure the efficiency of management practices and internal controls.

The ideal profile

• Hold a CPA title,
• Managerial profile focused on continuous improvement and project delivery,
• 8 years or more of relevant experience,
• Excel with Microsoft Excel suite and comfortable with learning new software,
• Functional English,
• Be a team player,
• Be results-oriented and display a positive attitude,
• Be organized and have a sense of responsibility,
• Have a strong adaptability and a strong interpersonal side.
