Estimator in Process Mechanics

Filtrum Construction specializes in the construction of environmental infrastructures. The company offers complete solutions to industrial and municipal clients in process mechanics, electricity, instrumentation, and automation.

We are looking for an efficient and resourceful person to join our team. Estimation plays a key role in project preparation, analyzing plans, bids, costs, schedules, and technical needs to produce accurate and realistic proposals. This team effectively supports the execution department in the realization of projects of various sizes and complexities, primarily carried out in Quebec, but also in several other provinces of Canada.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the estimation director, your responsibilities will be:
• Analyze the plans and bids of water treatment projects
• Estimate labor and material costs
• Request and analyze supplier price quotes
• Calculate the installation schedules for piping and equipment
• Meet the deadlines for closing bids
• Participate in site visits and pre-submission meetings
• Required Qualifications
• Technical or university training in building mechanics, mechanical engineering, or DEP in estimation
• 3 to 5 years of experience in estimation, ideally in construction
• Excellent mastery of Excel and Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of water treatment equipment (potable and wastewater)
• French required; English at intermediate or advanced level for cross-Canadian collaboration
