Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper functioning of the de-icing and service truck fleet.
• Perform repairs on de-icing and service trucks.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of de-icing and service trucks.
• Ensure trucks are clean and in good working order.
• Maintain all vehicles related to company operations.
• Follow procedures and instructions.
• Promptly report any anomalies or other problems to the Mechanical Manager.
• Complete any documents or reports required for follow-up and maintenance.

Profile Required

• Good knowledge of French and English
• Flexible in terms of work schedule
• Must enjoy teamwork and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Conscientious of health and safety at work.
• Candidate will need to own their own tools.

Qualifications Required

• Have two (2) years' experience in the mechanical field.
• Experience with heavy machinery, and/or electronic, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Completion and passing of a course in general mechanics, heavy vehicles or site engines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license.

*Candidates must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airport Driving Permit (AVOP).

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
