Overview

Join our innovative team as an Airline Structure Engineer and play a vital role in the day to day operation of the airline. This dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace engineering, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of aircraft structures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet rigorous industry standards while pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology.

Responsibilities

  • Review the structural work performed on the aircraft and ensure it is within the acceptable margins.
  • Validate and enter all structural repairs performed on aircraft in to the internal database.
  • Develop detailed designs for aircraft using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct system design analyses, including stress testing, load calculations, and fatigue assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive schematics and technical drawings that communicate complex mechanical concepts clearly to manufacturing and construction teams.
  • Manage projects from conception through implementation by coordinating with manufacturing and construction teams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to interpret results, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions for system enhancements.
  • Draft engineering orders, work orders and other technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles relevant to aerospace structures.
  • Experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD .
  • Experience in the airline industry is an asset.
  • Experience with Airbus aircraft is an asset.
  • Experience working with TCCA, FAA or EASA is an asset.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks across teams effectively.
  • Excellent research skills with a focus on data collection, analysis, and application to real-world engineering challenges.
  • Math proficiency essential for modeling, calculations, and system analysis within aerospace contexts.
