Senior Accounting Technician

Our client, a well-established company in the trucking industry, is looking for a senior accounting technician to manage the company's accounting operations and serve as a resource to the management.

This is a trusted position where you will be the right hand of the management for all accounting-related matters.

What you will do

• Perform the complete accounting cycle.
• Conduct bank reconciliations.
• Prepare payments and track vendor and customer accounts.
• Produce accounting entries and participate in monthly closings.
• Verify the accuracy of transactions.
• Supervise and validate the work of administrative employees who assist you.
• Ensure communication and follow-up with the external accountant.
• Participate in improving accounting and administrative procedures.
• Produce the various reports requested by management.
• Serve as a resource for all accounting-related questions.
• The desired profile
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Excellent mastery of the complete accounting cycle.
• Ability to coordinate and verify the work of a support administrative team.
• Great autonomy, discretion, and sense of responsibility.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer tools.
• Experience with MYOB (or ability to quickly learn a custom accounting system).

What we offer

• Salary starting at $35/hour based on experience.
• 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.
• Flexible schedule between 7 am and 5 pm.
• 4 weeks of vacation upon hiring.

• Position located on the Rive-Nord side of Québec.
• In-person work only (no remote work).
