The Role - Production Supervisor (Brownsburg-Chatham, QC) - 39502
We are pleased to announce a new opportunity as a Production Supervisor at our Brownsburg-Chatham production site. Under the responsibility of the Production Director, the main goal will be to direct and coordinate the daily operations of unionized employees in a manufacturing domain dealing with explosives and highly sensitive materials.
What You Will Do
Supervise your team in various manufacturing processes according to health and safety rules and quality standards.
Manage human resources effectively according to Orica's values.
Communicate priorities to your team and inform them of established policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to maximize overall operations, and this in various remote buildings.
Promote the continuous improvement of operations and your department.
Ensure the application of the collective agreement.
Complete various reports (daily, performance indicators, annual budget, production, and others).
Your Contribution
College diploma (DEC) or equivalent relevant experience.
3 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
3 years of experience in supervision.
Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
Knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing" concepts.
Mastery of the MS Office environment.
Strong orientation towards results focused on safety, quality, and costs.
Be a good leader and communicator.
Autonomy and good judgment.
Be customer-focused in your decision-making and priority choices.
Role Dimensions
This role requires a presence at the Brownsburg-Chatham site, full-time (Monday to Friday).
After approximately 6 months of training, this role will be part of the shift supervisors team (on-call during weekends, i.e. 5 to 6 times a year).
