Daily Tasks

• Perform deliveries and/or pickups in all regions served by Walker (Northeast U.S., New York Island, and Ontario)
• Drive *Flatbed* trucks with retractable tarps
• Make necessary collections from customers
• Conduct safety rounds of equipment
• Report any mechanical or merchandise damage and quality issues
• Read and follow instructions on route sheets and "logbook" regulations and fill in required information on documents
• Multi-stop route with return trip

Job Requirements

• Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license without any W endorsements
• DEP or 3 years of experience in long-distance travel
• Have a clean driving record
• No criminal record
• Be able to make quick, correct decisions
• Good command of French and English
• Average of 50 hours per week
• Variable work shifts depending on trips
• Have a valid passport
• Good physical condition
• Know how to operate a crane (an asset)

All selected candidates must undergo random drug and alcohol testing as part of the Driver Check program required by U.S. legislation.
