Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned production equipment. They ensure the smooth running of activities, monitor product quality, and adjust parameters as needed. The Machine Operator collaborates closely with other production team members to ensure the achievement of established goals and standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, start, operate, and disassemble equipment according to procedures.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
- Supply the machine with raw materials or components.
- Monitor production parameters and make required adjustments.
- Complete quality and production records.
- Be aware of production orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth production.
- Report any breaks or issues to the supervisor or team leader.
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.
- Apply food safety and personal hygiene rules.
- Comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures.
- Participate in the training of new employees, if necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma (DES).
- Experience in a manufacturing or food environment (asset).
- Experience in machine operation (minimum 6 months).
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt.
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
- Sense of observation and attention to detail.
