Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Director of Cost Control, the Cost Control Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in end-of-month and forecasting processes by performing relevant analyses of variances;
  • Serve as a link between the technician and the controller, ensuring the validation, understanding, and explanation of data;
  • Produce and analyze cost reports to support decision-making (fixed, variable, KPI, FTE);
  • Perform data validations (PO, allocations, inventories);
  • Conduct reconciliations and preliminary analyses of variances;
  • Support teams in understanding variances;
  • Ensure data consistency across different reports;
  • Prepare and validate end-of-month entries (running, regularizations);
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses;
  • Produce performance reports (MOR, KPI, costs);
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly forecasts (MRF);
  • Participate in "reporting" (GCB, NAFTA, Value Plan);
  • Support controllers in physical inventory counts, their reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of quantities and values in inventories, as well as compliance with ArcelorMittal accounting standards;
  • Contribute to annual budgets and the strategic plan;
  • Respond to requests from internal and external auditors;
  • Identify and propose improvements in processes and participate in automation projects;
  • Support CAPEX projects (tracking, validation, analyses).

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in administration, business, management accounting, or equivalent;
  • Have experience in finance within the manufacturing sector;
  • Possess the CPA designation as an asset;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
  • Be familiar with a management software, and knowledge of SAP is an asset;
  • Have excellent analytical and interpretive skills for complex data;
  • Demonstrate a good spirit of collaboration;
  • Show strong communication skills in both French and English for corporate exchanges;
  • Demonstrate autonomy, the ability to plan and anticipate tasks and responsibilities to meet tight deadlines;
  • Be able to manage multiple files simultaneously and have a sense of urgency;
  • Prioritize health and safety, promoting good practices in this area by integrating ArcelorMittal's 10 Golden Rules into daily work.
