Conventional Machinist - Interior Solutions
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Conventional Machinist will be responsible for the following:
- Read and interpret work orders;
- Identify the machining operations required;
- Set up and adjust equipment according to the requirements of the parts to be machined;
- Operate conventional machinery used to cut and bend metal, following engineering drawings and specifications;
- Perform deburring of parts when production workload permits;
- Adhere to cycle times and set-up times indicated on the work order, or explain any variances;
- Record actual time worked on the work order;
- Ensure quality standards are met;
- Promptly notify the supervisor of any major issues or problems;
- Identify opportunities to improve work methods;
- Maintain the machinery being operated and keep the work area clean and safe;
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Desired Profile
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Machining, Machine Tool Technology, or Tooling;
