At Merkur, you will act as a technical reference in plastic parts design on concrete industrial projects.

Your expertise is used upstream of the concepts, and your decisions have a real impact on the manufacturing, assembly, and performance of products for our clients.

Here, design goes beyond 3D modeling: you accompany your product from ideation to manufacturing and production. You see your concept take shape, evolve, be manufactured, and take form in the field.

What makes this role different

  • Custom projects, with real manufacturing and assembly constraints
  • Clear recognition of your technical judgment
  • Real autonomy on your deliverables
  • Close collaboration with engineers, manufacturing, and technical partners
  • Possibility of becoming a technical reference / lead technician depending on your expertise

What you will accomplish concretely

  • Actively contribute to the development of plastic parts from design to production
  • Design and optimize 3D models and layouts (CATIA)
  • Propose technical solutions considering manufacturing, assembly, and integration constraints
  • Define and validate assembly strategies and mechanical interfaces
  • Participate in technical reviews and influence design decisions
  • Be responsible for the quality, consistency, and robustness of your deliverables

Growth and recognition

  • Evolving role according to your expertise and technical interest
  • Possibility of becoming a technical reference, CAD expert, or lead technician
  • Increasing involvement in technical project decisions
  • Clear recognition of field experience and technical expertise

Profile sought

  • Technical training in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally 2 years in plastic parts design
  • Proficiency in CATIA (surface modeling is a plus)
  • Solid mechanical reasoning and manufacturing sense
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects
  • Availability for 3 days of in-person work (mobility support possible)
  • French required, functional English (technical context and international clients)

What Merkur offers you

  • Permanent position with stimulating technical assignments
  • Diversity of projects in various industrial sectors
  • Access to a seasoned team for technical exchanges and validation
  • Structured integration and real support
  • Mileage reimbursement and mobility bonus according to assignments
