Plastic Parts Designer – Estrie

At Merkur, you will act as a technical reference in plastic parts design on concrete industrial projects.

Your expertise is used upstream of the concepts, and your decisions have a real impact on the manufacturing, assembly, and performance of products for our clients.

Here, design goes beyond 3D modeling: you accompany your product from ideation to manufacturing and production. You see your concept take shape, evolve, be manufactured, and take form in the field.

What you will accomplish concretely

• Actively contribute to the development of plastic parts from design to production
• Design and optimize 3D models and layouts (CATIA)
• Propose technical solutions considering manufacturing, assembly, and integration constraints
• Define and validate assembly strategies and mechanical interfaces
• Participate in technical reviews and influence design decisions
• Be responsible for the quality, consistency, and robustness of your deliverables

Profile sought

• Technical training in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally 2 years in plastic parts design
• Proficiency in CATIA (surface modeling is a plus)
• Solid mechanical reasoning and manufacturing sense
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects
• Availability for 3 days of in-person work (mobility support possible)
• French required, functional English (technical context and international clients)
