We are currently seeking an Electronics/Optoelectronics Technician to join our team of Process Experts who will provide technical support for electrical and optical testing procedures used at various stages of our product manufacturing (photodiodes and other types of detectors). You will work in a cleanroom on equipment designed to test high-performance devices and will be tasked with managing improvement and development projects for new testing procedures.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment;
• Support electrical and optical testing procedures at various levels (wafers, chips, pre-assembly, and post-assembly):
• + Test machines for wafers and chips (manual and automatic);
• + Custom test fixtures (electronic boards, measurement equipment, optical test benches);
• + Databases (SQL, Access);
• + Custom software programming (Labview, VB.NET);
• Understand the underlying processes that can affect the yield of electrical tests (wafer fabrication, chip processing, product assembly) in order to adequately direct troubleshooting efforts;
• Establish and maintain automated process control mechanisms (SPC);
• Document procedures to ensure their stability (work instructions, operation procedures);
• Document electrical test criteria;
• Train and support production personnel;
• Work as a team to resolve process issues and communicate results using reports;
• Participate in the development, qualification, and transfer of procedures to production;
• Participate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;
• Utilize and promote Lean-Six Sigma methodology;
• Comply with the company's documentation system, quality policy, and new product introduction process;
• Report and document process-related issues or equipment failures and take corrective and preventive measures;
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Your Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in physical engineering, microelectronics, or equivalent;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electronics or photodiode testing field;
• Knowledge of electronics or electrical testing procedures;
• Knowledge of programming languages and development environments such as LabVIEW and VB.NET;
• Knowledge of microelectronic device fabrication processes, an asset;
• Knowledge of Lean-Six Sigma methodology (green belt certification) and statistical process control, an asset;
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct experiments and analyze and present results;
• Must demonstrate a high level of responsibility and commitment;
• Must adhere to the established rules of the Process Group's operation;
• Organizational skills and ability to work in a team;
• Proficiency in French (oral and written);
• Excellent English proficiency (oral and written) for technical and international communications.
