Description
Within the production site of DELPHARM Montreal located in Pointe-Claire, we are looking for a Systems and Networks Administrator.
The incumbent ensures the administration, performance, security, and BPF compliance of the site's systems, networks, and virtualization infrastructures. They oversee the maintenance of Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, and Check Point environments, while contributing to validation, supervision, and user support activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor LAN performance (Cisco) and keep network documentation up-to-date (schematics, VLANs, inventories).
- Daily monitoring of servers, Microsoft services, backups, and resources (CPU, memory, disk space).
- Administer the Microsoft Windows environment (servers and workstations): Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP, account and rights management.
- Ensure security and access rights via Active Directory, including periodic reviews of permissions.
- Administer the VMware platform: deployment, operation, capacity, availability.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment (switching/routing).
- Administer Check Point firewalls: rules, objects, NAT, VPN, logs, periodic reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the deployment of IT infrastructures and implementation/post-implementation activities (instructions, proof, rollback plans).
- Review logs, updates, and contribute to patch management and hardening.
- Ensure supervision, maintenance, and validation of manufacturing and laboratory IT systems.
- Maintain systems in their qualified state and contribute to the change control process.
- Participate in the validation of IT systems (CSV): documentation, test execution (IQ/OQ), deviation management.
- Apply Data Integrity principles (ALCOA+) and ensure traceability and preservation of auditable evidence.
- Diagnose, perform, and document technical interventions; propose preventive actions.
- Participate in corrective and preventive maintenance activities of the IT infrastructure.
- Install and configure servers and IT equipment; keep inventories up-to-date.
- Collaborate with systems/automation specialists and electrotechnicians for manufacturing IT systems.
- Provide support to users at levels 1, 2, and 3 and document interventions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems and networks administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a BPF (pharmaceutical or regulated) environment.
- Excellent experience with Microsoft Windows (servers and workstations) and Active Directory.
- Excellent experience with VMware.
- Excellent experience with Cisco (switching/routing, VLAN, troubleshooting).
- Excellent experience with Check Point (administration, VPN, rules, logs).
- Experience with monitoring/supervision tools (SolarWinds: asset).
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements (21 CFR Part 11, CSV).
- Technical computer science education or equivalent experience.
- Appreciated certifications: CCNA/CCNP, VMware (VCP), Microsoft.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Excellent technical Microsoft skills (Windows Server, AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP).
- Advanced mastery of VMware (capacity, availability, operation).
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco networking.
- Mastery of Check Point firewalls (policies, VPN, logs).
- Knowledge of best practices in monitoring/operation (SolarWinds: bonus).
- Knowledge of GxP environments and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Mastery of Data Integrity principles (ALCOA+).
- Autonomy, diligence, sense of organization and planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service sense.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies.
- Good mastery of French and technical English.
