La Ruelle is a non-profit organization committed to improving the well-being and overall health of children and their families. To support its growth, visibility, and sustainability, we are seeking a passionate and mobilizing person to lead our communications and philanthropic development activities.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications and Philanthropic Development Manager plays a key role in the visibility and financial viability of La Ruelle. They develop and implement fundraising and communication strategies to mobilize donors, partners, volunteers, and community members around our mission. Operating in a collaborative and agile environment, this person actively contributes to the growth of the organization by developing new fundraising opportunities, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring a strong and consistent presence with our various audiences.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES *Philanthropic Development and Partnerships*
- Develop and deploy a philanthropic development strategy aimed at diversifying and growing revenue.
- Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities with foundations, corporations, grant-making organizations, individual donors, and community partners.
- Monitor grant programs, sponsorships, and trends in the philanthropic sector.
- Write and coordinate funding requests, partnership proposals, reports to funders, and other solicitation documents.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with donors and partners to foster their commitment.
- Track contributions, manage philanthropic data, and produce performance reports.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and benefit events.
- Mobilize volunteers, partners, and ambassadors around fundraising initiatives.
- *Communications and Visibility*
- Develop and implement the annual communication plan in alignment with the organization's strategic directions.
- Create and distribute engaging content for various platforms: website, social media, newsletters, annual reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Manage and animate social media and digital platforms.
- Highlight the impact, achievements, and projects of the organization with the community, partners, and media.
- Support philanthropic activities and events with effective communication strategies before, during, and after their execution.
- Coordinate the production of promotional materials and collaborate with external vendors as needed.
- Measure the performance of communication initiatives and recommend continuous improvement actions.
- Monitor best practices in digital communication and community mobilization.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- *Education*
- Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, administration, public relations, or a related field.
- Additional training in philanthropic management, business development, or fundraising is considered an asset.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- *Experience*
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in philanthropy, fundraising, partnership development, or business development.
- Experience in the community, health, or non-profit sector is a significant asset.
- Experience in project management and event coordination.
- *Technical Skills*
- Excellent written communication skills in French and good command of English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
- Good knowledge of digital platforms, social media, and email marketing tools.
- Experience with a CRM or donor management database.
- Familiarity with project planning, management, and performance tracking tools.
