- Your daily routine (in summary):
Under the supervision of the production manager, the welder-assembler works closely with the PREMIUM team to support the business development of the company. As part of this collaboration, he participates in the manufacturing projects of overhead cranes and other lifting devices. His main responsibilities include the assembly of steel structures and, if necessary, the assembly of « crane kits ». Occasionally, he intervenes with clients to participate in the installation of overhead cranes or other projects requiring welding expertise.
Your main responsibilities will be the following
- Read and interpret plans and other production documents to ensure the manufacture of lifting devices at the Terrebonne plant.
- Plan your work and organize your workstation efficiently.
- Perform welding and assembly operations using different welding processes such as FCAW, MCAW, and SMAW.
- Follow all welding procedures according to CWB standards.
- Occasionally, participate in the erection of structures on construction sites and perform the necessary welding activities with clients.
- Handle pieces using overhead cranes to facilitate the manufacturing process.
- Perform visual inspections and non-destructive tests to ensure the quality of welds.
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to welds as needed.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at work;
- Additional tasks may be assigned based on operational needs and specific job requirements.
- Do you recognize yourself? You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- Professional studies diploma (DEP) in welding-assembly.
- CWB welding certification or equivalent; an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of different welding processes and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and diagrams.
- Mastery of cutting, grinding, and surface preparation techniques.
- Attention to detail and commitment to work quality.
- Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team member.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
