The Quality Control Technician (Control Panel Tester) performs various tasks primarily aimed at ensuring the conformity and quality of different automation products and/or projects that must be delivered to the client.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the general conformity of various products according to Dracon standards (mechanical and electrical shutters and aesthetic configuration of control panels);
- Verify that control panels and other productions have been executed according to the client's specifications and compliance with various standards (CSA, etc.);
- Test control panels produced by the assembly team according to the appropriate test and/or control method (measuring devices, visual control, etc.);
- Ensure that the various components are in compliance with plans and estimates;
- Meet with assemblers and/or factory or other department employees to inform them, if necessary, of the corrections to be made;
- Authorize delivery to the client once tests and quality control have been completed;
- Collaborate as needed on various automation projects in conjunction with project managers;
- Provide technical support and/or telephone troubleshooting to clients;
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
Education / Experience / Certification
- DEC in Electrical Engineering (Industrial Electronics Technology) or AEC in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation or DEP in Electromechanical Systems Automation;
- Any other combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Possess three to five years of relevant experience;
- Good knowledge of control and automation, electricity and/or electronics.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety at work rules as well as the standards surrounding machine safety.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read plans and electrical schematics;
- Capable of diagnosing and solving various problems;
- Team spirit, attention to detail, meticulousness, and rigor.
