About the Opportunity
Are you recognized for your ability to master and optimize laser processes while transforming technical challenges into practical, high-performance solutions? At Femtum, we are looking for someone who can play a key role in the evolution of our processes by combining analytical rigor with hands-on expertise.
In a context of rapid technological growth, your role will be to develop, test, and improve laser processes for various applications while ensuring their performance and repeatability. You will contribute directly to automation, data analysis, and the integration of these processes into our development cycles, while collaborating closely with the R&D and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement, develop, and optimize laser micromachining processes in the laboratory;
- Design and improve laser micromachining processes for various materials and applications;
- Conduct in-depth testing and characterization to ensure compliance with performance standards;
- Analyze process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement;
- Develop and implement algorithms for laser micromachining process automation;
- Manage and maintain process databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting;
- Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate micromachining processes into product development cycles;
- Document procedures, results, and conclusions in detailed technical reports and present them to stakeholders;
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in laser micromachining;
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field;
- Significant experience in laser micromachining processes;
- Strong understanding of laser systems and micromachining processes;
- Proficiency in Python programming, with experience developing algorithms for process automation;
- Experience with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++);
- Expertise in the use of laser micromachining equipment;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present technical information.
