Qualified Childcare Educator

Daycare Academy of the Little Ones welcomes 83 children aged from birth to 5 years old from the Deux-Montagnes Regional County Municipality and the surrounding areas. Our facility includes 15 spots for infants under 18 months and 68 spots for children aged 18 months and older.

Located in Saint-Eustache, opposite the former Polyclinic and close to the Hospital as well as the Patriotes Secondary School, our daycare offers a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for the children.

The mission of Daycare Academy of the Little Ones is to provide an educational program that promotes the overall development of the child in an atmosphere where love, respect, well-being, and safety are at the heart of our priorities.

We are looking for a passionate childcare educator to join our team.

This is a temporary position to fill in for a sick leave. The duration of the replacement is undetermined and will continue until the person replaced returns.

The selected person will have the following responsibilities:

• Ensure the well-being, health, and safety of children aged 0 to 5 years
• Build a trust relationship with the children and meet their emotional, physical, and social needs
• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate educational activities
• Implement the daycare's educational program and promote the overall development of the children
• Complete the educational files of the children twice a year, ensuring observation and documentation of their development, needs, and learning
• Observe the children and adapt interventions according to their needs
• Collaborate with the educational team to ensure consistency in practices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and learning-friendly environment

Compensation: According to the salary scales of the Ministry of Family (MFA), ranging from $25.78 to $34.44 per hour based on experience and recognition of acquired skills

Required Qualifications

• DEC in Childhood Education Techniques or equivalent recognized by the MFA
• Current first aid certification for childcare, including the section on severe allergies
• Willingness to undergo an employment-related disqualification check
• Experience in a childcare setting (an asset)
• Ability to work in a team, demonstrate autonomy, creativity, and kindness
• Compensation: $25.78 to $34.44 per hour
